Dear Poetess Maria Elena Vicente

Maria Elena Vicente Poetry Style

Maria Elena Vicente is a poetry style invented for the Maria Elena Vicente’s contribution of literary motivation which she had given to me and to others via a social media. She is a very kind and literate poetess from Guantánamo, Cuba; and lifted up our moral by sending certificates to boost our power of courage, and we still haven’t given up in life and not departed from a love of poetry.

My first certificate was earned from Maria Elena Vicente in 2019 when I was writing a piece of poetry on a cigarette paper to post it with my friend cell phone by begging him to use.

My Lady has Left (Maria Elena Vicente Poetry Style)

Carl Wayne Jent,Kentucky, United States

I stand here looking across the ocean
ponder the idea of my leaving
it may help my heart’s grieving
loved her and miss her so
she was a pleasure to know
now she’s gone, feel I must go
she was the joy of my life
had plans to make her my wife
now i must venture across the ocean

Loved the look in her eye
after I kissed her lips at night
she made everything feel right
seems like I lost my best friend
she left as quick as the wind
fear I shall never see her again
it’s sad that she has departed
left me standing, broken hearted
can’t get the tears out of my eye

At first, I had trouble believing
as I watched her fade out of sight
thinking of all the love i was giving
she was my eternal light

Rays of Light Falling on Me From Above (Maria Elena Vicente Style)

by Poet Arash Zohhadi, from Netherlands

In a field of delusion, I stand, feeling grandiose
look upon the scarlet sky, long to disturb the calm
resurrection of Zeus, think I’m, here to make storm
hoping tomorrow, my hurricane will make landfall
speed of wind increasing, it will be your downfall
thunderbolt my weapon, I’ll hurl my fireball
you hurt my ego, now my revenge, will ravage and burn
turn you into Medusa, behead you, with no pardon
how foolish you were, now lost a god, you had me so close.

In a field of verity, now I stand, feeling common
sky looking deep blue, not even god, can disturb the rest
simple man, I am, hope to lay next to you in our nest
mad I had become, must now let go my self-pettiness
reclaim your strayed heart, I must, god may be my witness
fallen angel, you, in heaven, once betrayed your watchers
now that you have lost your wings, you can’t fly above
chained to me, you are, must stay down here, granting me your love
come back, and I’ll promise, to keep your true face hidden.

All around me, white and pink blossoms, won’t let you deform
doves hovering above, please come back, and be my guest
next to me, three lilies blooming, just wanted to inform
rays of light falling on me from above, I feel blessed.

Stumbling On (Maria Elena Vicente Style)

Beth Evans,Australia

It would be nice to be wise, and never make mistakes,
For some of us lack all presence of mind,
It is far more common for us to find
We have made yet another faux pas,
We will not be popular,
Good intentions only go so far,
We try to make amends,
And in calamity it ends,
We cannot say we never make mistakes.

There are some of us, too, who are accident prone,
Forever falling over our feet,
We lack the poise to be discreet,
We mean no one harm,
We would love to disarm
The whole world with our charm,
But somehow we stumble,
And invariably tumble,
I am among those who are accident prone,

For some of us lack all presence of mind,
Forever falling over our feet,
It is more common for us to find
We lack the poise to be discreet.

Слава Україні! Slava Ukraini! ‘Maria Elena Vicente Poetry Style’

By Charlie Bottle

“We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must — at that moment — become the center of the universe.”
― Elie Wiesel, The Night Trilogy: Night, Dawn, The Accident

To citizens of Ukraine, we send prayers,
many say Ukrainians are at fault
that Putin, Ukraine ruthlessly assaults,
we know it was greed and lust for power,
that sowed bombs in fields of sunflowers,
and destroyed their cities in midnight hours,
so scared Ukrainians flee their own homes,
displaced people seek refuge as they roam,
in their sad times, we send Ukraine our prayers.

The world pleads with Putin, “let peace reign,”
in Putin’s lust for a Russian empire
he kills humanity for his damned desire,
the seeds of sorrow his greed has planted,
ethnonationalism has supplanted
peace, and freedom, that we take for granted,
May God’s peace be greater than human decrees
Flow-through Ukraine like a cool renewing breeze,
May Putin be defeated, to let peace reign.

Many say Ukrainians are at fault,
in Putin’s lust for a Russian empire,
that Putin, Ukraine ruthlessly assaults,
he kills humanity for his damned desire.

Debater (Poetic form :: Maria Elena Vicente Poetry Style)

By PK ROY,India

Watching debates in TV shows making one frustrated;
As whatever points are raised by debaters they chose
for topic discussed should tell why they want to oppose.
Feel debate’s purpose should be based on facts to express
with rational, arguments and all their talks to stress
reasoning for their views which will surely to impress.
But, sadly what we witness they focus on matter
to highlight disasters, as if world going to shatter;
Why not say ways to boost, not making one frustrated.

Should they not speak clearly without ambiguity?
They must stay calm, not getting hyper or emotional;
say with logic, be mindful, views not be irrational.
They should speak with confidence but not to criticize,
goal is to present facts and views what’s really wise.
Thinking never to weakening; not to surmise;
They must put the facts in a convincing manner
with informed decisions like an experienced planner;
to present clearly without ambiguity.

As whatever points are raised by debaters they chose
they must stay calm, not getting hyper or emotional;
for topic discussed they should tell why they want to oppose.
say with logic, be mindful, views not be irrational.

The mirror uncracked

By Northern Powerhouse,United Kingdom

It was not for him I risked being cursed
Or strove to shatter every trace
Of the web still holding me in place.
I tore the linings of each thread
Like a fly who slashed each silky shred
And laughed to see the spider dead.
I’d heard the ghost of freedom’s call:
They should not have locked me up at all —
It was time to see their wrong reversed.

It was life that lit my cell so dim
Which made me spurn my captor’s care
And dance into the murdering air.
I knew the sights that I would see,
That toil and pain awaited me -
The price I’d pay for being free
But I had to face the shadow’s source
And take my share of its remorse…
But do not say it was for him!

I know he gazed upon my face
And mourners heard him say my prayer
He claims the story of my grace
And no one questions ‘is it fair?’

Discussion (Poetic form:: Maria Elena Vicente Poetry Style)

BY World laureate of All Alemseged Styles PK ROY,India.

Always detailed discussion during the meeting
becomes more lively when the participants are aware
and prepared well about the issue with care;
That means a conversation that has been set
up in advance, each participant must get
related information before they met;
Learn as much about the issue as they can,
be prepared before the discussion began.
Queries in mind must get clarity during the meeting

If trying to learn business lessons from mavens,
study up on the industry they work for
that would immensely help to reach the outcome more
meaningfully; Studies have found the human brain
loves a good story. If one is trying to gain
knowledge from the wizards, ask them to share from the chain
of events through real-life stories as those encourage
to take up the practical challenges with courage;
Helps the knowledge seekers to get lessons from mavens.

Our brain knows “it’s safe to learn from them, nothing to scare”
if needed, get clarification nothing to deplore;
if having trouble getting to story-sharing, affair
try asking more open questions to know, to explore.

Rodrigo Ropes a Mustang

By Sandy L Galacio,New Jersey

Rodrigo mustang hunter
pulled a wet pañuelo
removed his broad sombrero
looking far off to the west
he reached inside his beaded vest
pulled the shirt front from his chest
scanned the shadows of the mesas
that marked his part of Texas
this Mustango was a wonder

once more he scanned the valley
she stared back across the purple stage
pawing at the ground in a perfect rage
he had chased her through the heat of day
now he heard her rage, a renegade, a stray
proud and unafraid just half a mile away
he would ride again all through the starry night
to the place she would drink in the early light
and rope her before she could romp and rally

shrewdly hidden down low in an arroyo
waiting seemed to take an age
the pinto mustang walked in solo
Rodrigo threw his lasso; it landed in the sage

Forever in the dark

By Poetess kā Zumbrink,Montana, United States

We were flowers that grew in the dark.
Long, hot days were spent under the sun,
strong and tan from the wet summer fun.
We roamed through the streets without care,
on skateboards or bikes everywhere,
and we did whatever we’d dare.
Just two girls with no inkling or clue
that sunshine can hold dangers too.
Sunflowers that grew in the dark.

Then one day everything changed.
You no longer came to my door,
and for weeks I just lay on my floor.
I cried and prayed you’d walk in,
but that never happened again.
What he did to you was a sin.
I was holding onto your hand
and I still can not understand
how I blinked and everything changed.

All that we did was undone
that day as we left the store
an angry young man with a gun
in the dark, we are flowers no more.
